If Ireland is in EU than maybe they should take a look at another countrys in EU. My girlfrien is from East Europe and before she got her licence she had to go to driving school where first they teach you theory & then with in the school you have to take 40 hours of driving with instructor before you do your driving test at POLICE station with a police officer. If then you pass your test insted of L pates you put a sign 70KPH at front and rear of your windscreen for two years & it means you can't drive faster then 70KPH and only then after two years you get your as we call it FULL licence . Maybe Irish goverment should look in to that & that way we could safe lives and have a better system for Irish learner drivers.... This whole system of getting driving licence is a joke!
