Boards.ie receive legal threat from SwitchMedia
It was brought to my attention today that Boards.ie had been issued with legal action by SwitchMedia for what it classed as offensive posts. Take a look at what Boards.ie are saying here >>>
Since the posts were removed before I had a chance to read them, the general jiist is that people were complaining about the price of SwitchMedias service offerings. A representative of SwitchMedia was at one stage replying to the posts, but removed them as soon as they sent the legal action to boards.ie
Let’s face it - what’s offensive about stating the facts.
1. SwitchMedia are expensive, but not the most expensive
2. They must trawl through company registrations records - try registering a company yourself and see what material you receive from from SwitchMedia. One thing is for sure… you will receive something from them! Is there anything wrong with this? Not if it’s as simple as we can help you get a domain name and hosting, but generally it’s more in a scaremongering fashion where they send an invoice or something to that effect.
