We’re now on Interenet Explorer Beta 3 and I stupidly installed it on my machine thinking that it would have improved from Beta 2.
But low and behold… eh no… It’s still a very poor attempt by Microsoft at producing the next generation browser. Maybe this wasn’t their intended goal, but it’s what I would expect from a company who is losing ground on market share to the all conquering FireFox.
What really got me again was the uninstall of the program. I had this on 2 previous occassions and thought I knew how to get rid of it a third time…. But eh no…
This time after going through the older steps of :
Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Tick “Show Updates” > remove….
It hung on “running processes before uninstall” – no matter what I did, it didn’t complete uninstallation.
So I finally figured it out…. I had to stop the regsvr32.exe process – which allowed the uninstallation to proceed.
I’m all clean now and back to IE6. Don’t bother installing IE7 just yet – not nearly ready for general consumption!
