I think enough has been said about the dismal performance by Ireland’s soccer team last Saturday. I was probably one of those lucky people that did not get to see the game on Saturday.
I think it’s time for the FAI and Mr. Delaney to sign the signings on the wall… they made a huge mistake by appointing Steve Staunton as Ireland manager. Yes I agree everyone deserves a chance, but this is beyond a joke. I know it’s not our worst defeat ever, but on paper…. it is! Nuff said….

The dropouts he has had would have doomed any team under any manager. All he’s left with is a pub team
Yep, he has a bad team alright, but a decent manager would have at least had a proper tactic in place to work with the team he had.
I didn’t see the match so I can’t comment too much, but from what I have heard, the team was very poor defensively. On a game with few players thats where we should have been focussed on.
