Cheapest broadband option in Ireland maybe?
My brother got a call from these guys today http://www.gaelictelecom.ie/
The offer they have is just something that can’t be ignored. They offer FREE broadband, unlimited Local & National Calls for just €11.99 per month.
The free broadband has an allowance of 20 hours, 48:1 contention ratio, downloads of 1MB and 128b uploads.
Apparently all profits go to your loca GAA club, which sounds nice!
I’d be interested to hear of other people’s experiences with these guys.

You only get 20 hours though, so it’s not really always on… Though in fairness, if you go over that they will only charge you a maximum of 35 euros - I got badly stung by eircom (back when I had dialup) and ended up paying an extra 200 after I went over the amount of hours I could use per month - ouch!
Ouch is right!!!
Their always on options are pretty good too though! Worth looking at if you were thinking of making the move from dial up.
I’m not saying the service is good - but the price is!
my guess is at it perlico and many of the others, that the customer support is brutal if its an eircom resell as they have very little control over it.
Just so you know, they are offering a re-branded Imagine service (link below) at a slightly higher price, the higher price accounts for the money that goes to your local GAA club.
