At home I use vodafone, 3MB line and I always get it at full capacity, possibly because no-one else in my area is with the same provider.

Irish broadband in the office and most of the time we also get the full 4mb.

So it&#039;s hard for them to give an average - but they should certainly give you an indication of how many others are using the line before you sign the contract!</description>

		<description>One thing to keep in mind is that you rarely get the speeds you pay for.For example,you could pay for 10 mb connection but get radically different speeds from the different providers.While UPC aren&#039;t the cheapest on paper ,they do pretty well on speed tests in my experience,whereas my old 3 mb bt connection rarely got above 1.5 mb.Providers should give the max speed AND an average speed that you could normally expect.</description>
