Cool Site : Hotelscombined.com – the hotel search

Someone mentioned this site to me this morning. It’s very handy when searching for hotels all over the world.

The system itself searches the big hotel sites such as booking.com, hotels.com, lastminute.com and expedia.com, etc etc.

So if you are looking for a hotel (that’s not in New York – use www.visitnewyork.ie for that ;) ) use www.hotelscombined.com

Cool Website : Mad Frog Design

I love coming across really cool web designs. And here’s my favourite one of a long time: www.madfrogdesigns.com

Excellent design with clever use of graphics and simplistic effects.

New York Hotels / VisitNewYork.ie – site of the week!

Midtown Manhattan, New York City, from Rockefe...
Image via Wikipedia

My “coolest site of the week” section is becoming more of a biased pimp of our clients sites, but it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want (unless no-one visits it anymore I guess!).

When I have more time to focus on other sites I will, but for now this is another shameless plug for a new website we developed on behalf of DIY Travel Limited.

Their new site www.visitnewyork.ie was lauched today with little hype, but I’m sure the guys will be planning something soon to get this site out to the mainstream.

The site is aimed at the all those Irish travellers who love to go shopping in the US every now and then. It features a great little “Shopping Guide” system that allows you to pick from a host of shops, restaurants and nightlife destinations in New York City.

Ignoring the fact that you can book from over 150 hotels, you can also book your day tours from the system too.

The guys will be giving away some great deals on their hotel bookings over the coming months, so tune in now and often to avail of these great offers.

Go have a look now even, you might be pleasantly surprised at some of the hotels on offer!

Site of the Week – Hobeze.com

This post is a little bit biased since we (www.2bscene.ie) designed and developed it. But none the less I think it’s a good looking site with good potential. Started by two young guys from Cork, www.hobeze.com is the newest social networking website on the Internet.

Currently still in beta mode (so it could be a little buggy) Hobeze (play on the word ‘hobbies’) allows anyone to register for free and meet and socialise with likeminded people based on what your favourite past time or hobby might be.

So what makes this site better than anything else out there? Well the fact that it’s hobby based, means you can meet new friends that are simply just into the same thing as you. Features are similar to the big boys in the social networking scene, with comments, photo galleries etc all available.

So don’t hang around – go in and have a look!
